C.O.R.E.

The C.O.R.E is our purpose here at MPCC. Its what we do. It consists of 4 factors: Community, Outreach, Relationships, and Excellence. These four factors are our areas of focus as far as the ministry of the church is concerned. We believe that if we can connect with people through these areas it will 1) open the door for unity and harmony within the body of Christ 2) reveal the church as a vital, relevant, and welcomed part of our local community and 3) make us more effective at answering the "Great Commission" (Matt 28:19, 20)

COMMUNITY

We love our community. The neighborhood we are a part of is a place full of beautiful people and wonderful families. We believe that we are here for a reason, and that reason is to make deep meaningful connections with the folks who live here. Whether it's providing food through our weekly bread and grocery ministry, or providing a safe and clean environment through our community clean up program, or by hosting our community flea market where people in our neighborhood can connect, buy and sell, and enjoy good food and even better fellowship. We are in this community, we are of this community, and we are for this community

OUTREACH

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is spread more effectively through actions rather than with just words. Its one thing to tell someone that God loves them but it's another thing to show them. Jesus said that He "did not come to be served , but to serve." (Matthew 20:28) If it's good enough of the Son of God then it's good enough for us! We, as a church, reach out to the broken, lost, and hurting within our city multiple times a year in multiple ways. Whether we're helping the homeless by providing food, toiletries, clothing, and the word of God through our "Bags of Blessing" ministry or reaching out to neighborhood families with our "Trunk or Treat" party at Halloween or our Community wide Egg hunt during Easter. We also help provide christmas gifts for children of incarcerated parents through "Angel Tree". These are just a few of the ways we put God's love into to action.

RELATIONSHIPS

One of the most important aspects of a healthy life is being part of healthy relationships. We were created for relationship! God made Adam not just so he would tend the Garden of Eden but so Adam could walk with Him "in the cool of the day." This is what God wants for us. Not only does he want to have a close personal relationship with you but He also wants you to have close personal relationships with others as well. Relationships are vitally important in the the church. we at MPCC believe that we are "better together than we are apart." We believe in "doing life together" like the 1st Century Church as recorded in Acts 2. Whether it's through serving with others in one or several of our community or outreach projects or by joining one our many life groups we encourage you and we invite you to do life with us.

EXCELLENCE

We believe that everything we do MUST be done with a spirit of excellence. Whether we are serving our community through practical means, reaching out through evangelism, or building relationships with our neighbors, everything that we do must be fueled by the excellence of respect, honor, and most of all, LOVE. .
